Purpose of the role:
The AI Manager at Wizz Air plays a crucial role in the company's innovation and technology strategy, responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts of key AI teams. The AI Manager will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and boost overall business performance. By aligning AI initiatives with Wizz Air's strategic goals, the AI Manager will ensure the successful implementation of AI projects. This position serves as a vital bridge between AI-driven initiatives and the company's strategic objectives, fostering an AI-driven culture within the organization. Reporting to the Senior Data Manager, the AI Manager will play a key role in generating actionable insights and promoting the adoption of AI technologies across the company.

 Responsibilities:

• Drive Wizz Air's AI Strategy: Align AI initiatives with the company's strategic goals and ensure their successful implementation.
• Provide Strategic Leadership: Lead the Data Science, Pricing Product, and project-based AI development teams.
• Evangelize AI Technologies: Promote the adoption of AI technologies across the organization to foster an AI-driven culture.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders and corporate functions to define AI development requirements.
• Identify AI Opportunities: Understand business needs and proactively identify opportunities where AI can drive improvements.
• Communicate AI Updates: Regularly communicate AI-related updates, findings, and recommendations to business leaders.
• Implement AI/ML Governance: Collaborate with other technology managers to define and implement AI/ML governance policies and standards.
• Enforce Data Security: Ensure compliance with data security and customer data protection policies.
• Deliver AI Projects: Ensure AI projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

 Requirements:

• 4-6+ years working experience with 3+ years of experience in AI and/or Advanced Analytics domains
• Experience in managing a development team, including vendor management
• Strong understanding of AI solutions and processes
• Practical experience with programming languages (Python preferred), AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch preferred), and cloud technologies (Azure and/or Databricks preferred)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to cooperate with a variety of stakeholders, team player personality
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for enterprise-level AI solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Dedication, positivity, integrity, and inclusivity
• Ability to live and work in Budapest, Hungary
