Role Description
We are looking for Data Analyst with boundless curiosity and a deep passion for data and innovation. Someone who not only sees the numbers, but also understands the people behind them — a professional who blends analytical rigor with a humanistic lens on the world.
As a Data Analyst within Dentsu Creative’s award-winning strategy team, you will dive deep into numbers to decode what’s really happening around us. With a sharp analytical eye and the ability to see connections beyond the numbers, you read and interpret data to uncover the forces shaping culture, behaviours, and brands — turning complex information into clear, strategic insights that inspire bold and impactful thinking and creativity.
You will work closely with all the Dentsu Creative verticals (Brand Strategy, Advertising, Events, Luxury, Gaming, Social, Influencer Marketing, and more) as a true 360º expert of consumer, industry and cultural trends & insights, developing insights and point of views for some of the biggest Global and Italian brands.
From insight reports to sweeping innovation projects, we're looking for someone who’s curious about the world — someone who questions assumptions, challenges conventions, and uses data to reframe challenges and find unexpected answers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and present reports on digital and social performance, turning data into clear, actionable insights.
- Conduct social listening analysis to identify conversation patterns, audience and brand insight.
- Support the design and development of ad hoc surveys to uncover strategic insights and inform brand decision-making.
- Monitor key trends and shifts, providing analysis that supports teams across dentsu with culturally informed thinking.
- Help develop analysis packages for clients, supporting the creation of tailored research proposals in collaboration with different Dentsu teams.
Who we are looking for
- Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a deep curiosity constantly exploring trends, conducting desk research, and scouting for cultural signals and emerging behaviors.
- Skilled at translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform creative thinking and shape brand relevance — both for people and algorithms.
- Strong communicator who knows how to get to the point — making data feel accessible, relevant, and compelling in both written and spoken form.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, with the ability to craft presentations that inform, persuade, and guide strategic decisions.
- Collaborative and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and a habit of going beyond task execution to find smarter solutions.
- Strong team player with a talent for listening, mediation, and leading teams and clients with clear, substantiated rationales.
- Comfortable working across data tools and platforms, with advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, worksheets).
- Fluent in Italian (written and spoken) and fluent in written English — good spoken English is a strong plus.
- Bonus: experienced in data visualization, presenting insights in elegant, visually engaging formats.
Skills & Experience
- 2+ Years of proven experience with data and reporting
- Skilled in processing and managing data through Excel and pivot tables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with strong expertise in data visualization and presentation
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Ability to effectively balance high quality with strict deadlines
- Team working and collaborative attitude
- Self-motivation and a problem-solving attitude
- Your mother tongue is Italian, but you’re fluent in English
- Proficiency with data & analytics platforms (e.g. Brandwatch) is a plus
